DUBAI’s dining calendar will close on a high note this year with the upcoming launch of Solara, a new Mediterranean-Arabian restaurant and poolside lounge opening in the heart of Downtown Dubai in Q4.

Conceived as a sun-drenched gathering place, Solara brings together the soul of the Mediterranean with the spice and warmth of Arabia, offering guests an experience that blends flavour, atmosphere, and style against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa.

At the centre of the venue lies a stunning pool, creating a chic ambience for daytime lounging or evening dining. By day, light filters through olive branches, casting dappled patterns across crisp linen-clad tables, while at night, fire pits glow and the scent of open grills fills the air. Live oud music adds to the atmosphere, ensuring each visit feels like an immersion in culture and comfort.

What makes Solara unique?

Solara’s menu has been crafted to celebrate bold, ingredient-led cooking, designed for sharing and connection. Among the highlights is the Hazelnut Hummus, enriched with smoked olive oil and sesame lavash. The Truffled Milk-Fed Veal Carpaccio is layered with crispy caper flowers, winter truffle, and rocket leaves, while the Prime Meat Mixed Grill Platter showcases charcoal-kissed lamb kofta, spiced lamb chops, marinated baby chicken, and tenderloin skewers.

Seafood lovers will find depth in the Grilled Harissa Prawns, served with charred lemon and broccolini, while vegetarians can delight in the Creamy Burrata, which pairs oven-baked tomatoes with pistachio pesto and Dibba honey. The dishes are carefully curated to balance refinement with regional flair, ensuring an experience that appeals to cosmopolitan diners, cultured travellers, and spirited locals alike.

How does the venue transform?

Solara has been designed as a space that transitions throughout the day. Guests can enjoy leisurely lunches that stretch into the afternoon, while evenings shift into a more vibrant atmosphere with sunset rituals, live entertainment, and lantern-lit dining. The concept blends bohemian chic with desert luxe, ensuring that from daylight hours to starlit evenings, the restaurant offers distinct moods for every occasion.

The name itself reflects its spirit: Solara combines Sol (sun) and Aura (energy, atmosphere), encapsulating the warmth and vibrancy the venue seeks to embody.
